Nicholas Tapia & Stephanie Berg
Nicholas draws from years of partner dancing and teaching to guide individuals through every one of his classes. He has a gift for getting students excited and addicted to Tango in a short amount of time.
Stephanie comes from a ballet and ballroom background, with an intricate knowledge of body and dance. She helps dancers get the most out of their movements and bodies to achieve an easier, more natural expression.
Together, they work to create a balance and harmony that helps their students reach the soul of the dance, and translate it into movement. They currently hold lessons for Tango, as well as other dances around the Bay Area.
Courteous and caring both on the tango dance floor and away from it, D’Artagnan is a tango dancer who has learnt, danced, and taught tango in different communities and at many festivals around the world.
His teaching philosophy focuses on 1) comfort, posture, embrace, and walking technique, 2) understanding the dance as a intimate, shared experience with one’s dance partner, and 3) encouraging his students to have fun and experience the social aspects of Argentine tango in the wider local community.
