Lutetia Li, President
My name is Lutetia and I am majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology. I was introduced to Argentine Tango during the winter break of my junior year when I went back to my hometown, Shanghai. After returning to Berkeley I joined the club’s DeCal and slowly became more involved. The best thing about Tango is the people that I have met, which is also what keeps me so drawn to the dance and the community. Besides Tango, I spend most of my time researching, playing Taiko drums, and doing anything that is enjoyable!
Alexandra Rusu, Secretary
My name is Alexandra and I’m a third year at UC Berkeley. When I’m not doing tango, I’m probably reading and drinking tea.
Rachel Krasner, Treasurer
Hello! My name is Rachel. I am a fourth year Anthropology major with a focus in Medical Anthropology. Aside from school, tango is my passion. Through tango, I have met wonderful friends, enjoyed many unforgettable moments, and continued to discipline my mind and body. I work in order to dance and dance in order to live. In the moments where I am not studying or dancing, I love to cook, bake, read, write, take photos, practice and listen to music, and share a good laugh over a cup of tea with my friends.
Yuki Chavez, PR Coordinator
My name is Yuki and I’m a Computer Science major at Cal. I needed an extra unit for Spring 2013 semester and I decided to take the Argentine Tango Decal Level 1 since it sounded like fun. I did not anticipate how wonderful tango could be or the amazing group of people in the club and in the tango community! Tango has brought a lot of richness to my life and I wanted to start giving back. Besides school and tango, I’m trying to get some web development experience and I listen to a wide variety of music.
